Howdy!!!
We finished the whole prescription of Clomid last night and hope the results are great this round. We have an appointment on Tuesday for an US and blood draw to see if the Clomid worked and if we are ready for an IUI on Wednesday!
Adoption note....we sent the 171h to Lisa and now just waiting for the state and nation to put their seal and then we just wait for the referral. Now the dreaming of the referral begins. What will he look like? medical test show? name be? We bought a baby name book and our slowly compiling a favorites list we will share later.
My health....thanks for the prayers and concerns with the fertility, ribs and blood work. We had 7 more chest x-rays done this week and hope to find out the rib ordeal, 4 tubes of blood and test will be run this week to find out issues, and hoping the fertility issues are slowly resolved with God's blessing! I will keep you guys updated, and we cant thank you enough for lifting us up in prayer as we feel honored to do for you as well.

Howdy!
Once again earth shaking news that the IUI did not work and we are back on a new cycle. We hate that they are back to back with no breathing time between! We realize God's will is being done and we are not in control so simply waiting for His direction and guidance. The doctor believes we need to do IVF next round. Basically the egg and sperm have never gotten along even in the lab, so why would it happen naturally. Ever round of IVF they had to fuse the 2 together in a lab, because they would not fertilize on their own, so they believe the chance of that happening with out guidance is slim. WE are praying about that constantly. We are torn with the medical drama and cost that comes along. However, in the decision process w are going to try one more IUI in the meantime and we start Clomid for that one tomorrow, with the next US and bloodwork on the 2nd of Feb.
On the adoption front......We met with our head Pastor and he has agreed to write letters on our behalf of grant funding! Whoop!! The US government is about to make us nuts. On top of the fact that the US gov charges basically 10x what the Ethiopian gov does for each court hearing, attorney fee, filing fee, application fee they take about 10x as long. Quite disturbing a "leading" nation charges so much more and takes so much longer with all the "organizations" we have in place. The 171h paperwork is taking about 3 weeks instead of 1, and hope that Ethiopia has all the dossier nationally sealed in the next 3 weeks. Out little Ma-mush is out there somewhere waiting. Now comes the big decisions, since the US is constantly halting everything. Do we stay in AZ and the AF until complete for consistency? Get out ASAP and look for a job here to stay until complete? Get out of AF and apply for jobs in dream locations and recertify there? Put the house on the market? hmmm...praying, seeking council and listening for God!

Howdy!
Friday we had the blood test taken. I had to go straight from school with out time to change and it was pj day at school. So I showed up in my pjs, with a bag of clothes for afterward. They took my blood and gave me my hcg injection. We then went to the mountains and had an amazing ski weekend fri-mon. I was "super" careful and didn't fall once, thinking skiing probably isn't on the list of approved activities while pregnant. Even with the boys trying to peer pressure me into dangerous runs, my motherly instinct held strong! The doc called with our results which were good, so the next appointment will be this coming Friday. Depending on the results we might be headed for another ski day near home this time!!!

Howdy!!!
Early Saturday appointment! We popped in and then got a coffee while the lab worked on our case. We came back about an hour later and the doc showed us the numbers....
40 million with 57.1 % motility and after processing in the lab still about 40 million with 98.7 % motility!!! Whoop! Maybe our best shot ever!
We reminded him of the catheter dilemma last time, and this time it was a one shot deal...painful, but one try compared to 4 is a breeze! The entire procedure was 10 minutes or so. We asked about the "tricks" he was going to try to stop my period from coming early like usual and he said they are going to give me a booster HCG shot in the tummy this coming week. We return Friday...early and fast I hope because that is the day we leave on our ski trip...
Now the prayer begins...please join us in support through prayer!
I forgot to post the bedding from our family earlier...ooopps!

Howdy!
Dr. appointment today with Ultra Sound for the number of follicles. 1 small and 1 "big and juicy" as they say. We got a Ovidrel shot to the rear to stimulate ovulation from the follicles. After we had to go to fertility pharmacy to get another shot refill and the pharmacist couldn't keep their eyes off me....they asked if I was Kierstin Dunst and then wanted everyone in the room to look at me and see what they thought. All agreed to my dismay. A huge spectacle we created as usual. From now on I will just sign autographs.....

Howdy!
We are thrilled with the opportunity and gift of the journey of adoption. With all the paperwork complete and in the waiting process for our son(s) name and info we have started writing and applying for grants. The cost of adoption is astronomical(I wrote my first ever check for 5 figures this week! Yikes!) and we have found that there are many agencies and programs that offer grants for those adopting. We realize not everyone is called to adopt but most Christians believe God calls for adoption, therefore in a round about way gifting finances they are support and funding God's will of adoption. We know God will decide to gift us funding through a grant or not, but believe the opportunity must be taken. Prayers would be appreciated and we know God will provide or our sons safe travel home.

Howdy!
In our "spare" time we have found a fascination with watching videos and reading blogs of other families who have adopted from Ethiopia. I could spend hours googling Ethiopia orphanages and staring at the photos and videos. One compelling video is from a family who adopted recently like ourselves:

Howdy!!!
Happy New Year!!!
While in TX we had to go to a medical lab and have my blood taken and tested. Everything came back fine after faxing to the doc in AZ! Then, on Christmas day of all days, spotting began and we knew chances were slim. However, the spotting was a solid 5 of more days early which sees to always be our medical struggle..holding back the cycle in order for the little guys to implant. After returning to AZ we went to Dr. G and he confirmed the spotting and cycle, and wanted us to go another round of IUI immediately. So that evening we were prescribed a double whammy of Clomid and have been on it for several days now. Our next appt is Friday and Dr. G says we will try a few techniques from them on to stop the early cycle.
On a Ma-Mush note..his nursery is looking better by the moment. After amazing holiday gifts of all the crib bedding, and clothes his room and closet are picture perfect. We are almost set for the little man to come home. I will take a few pics this week and post the final design product soon. We are a little anxious and frustrated at homeland security. We were supposed ti get a biometrics appt 2 weeks after paying our huge immigration application fee. A month has gone by and we have sent letters, emails, phone messages and have our case manager on the hunt as well. We need to have those completed in order to get the ball rolling...
Love yall!!!
