Big Boy update!

The little guys jst had their 12 month well baby and seems we are doing good and growing quickly. Both boys were right on track with milestones. Of course Taft wrestles around like an alligator out of water when being examines. I think it is hilarious that a pediatrician who sees kids 5 days a week can't stop laughing because he will not hold still and tries to detroy everythig he can get his hands on.
Zeke: 3rd percentile for height, 5th percentile for weight and 29th for head circumference!
Taft: 12th for height, 18th for weight and 96th for head...yes you read that right, 96!

Both boys had blood taken for lead and other routine tests, but Taft did also for Celiac disease indicators. His little body shape is super skinny arms and legs but a huge pregnant belly, which can be a sign, but everything came back perfect! Therefore, he just has a huge beer belly...just no beer in there! We have many doc appts coming up: Dentist appt for both boys, now that we have teeth!, cirsumcision(yikes!), ENT for Zeke now(possible tubes and adenoids as well, similar to Taft). From now on we have monthly weight checks...we are quickly catching up to the American norm, but need to start speeding that up, so trying out Pediasure and hoping to pack on some pounds! I love that the three men in my house are desperately trying to pack on pounds!
I love that when we leave the doctor we are happy and healthy, even on the American scale, since sevral months ago we were shockingly behind developmentally and in the 0 percentile for everything!

Our gifts

Silly goose x 3

The boys seem to think when their daddy acts like a total nut it is hilarious, usually mommy thinks so too!

Zeke has a very unusual interest...whenever yo stick out your toungue at him he leans over, crawls over, bends down, whatever he has to so that your tongue will lick his forhead! Odd I know...hilarious YES! So for now, we sometimes lick out babies head...creepers we are...just hope it ends before we take his to kindergarten and he asks me to lick his head before I leave!

My little men love to boogie!

Hola!

Sorry for the lack of videos lately. We have tons of hilarious ones to share but for some reason they will not upload. I'm sure we will get it figured out eventually.A few things going on at the Johnson household.
1. Zeke is getting better. Last week he was diagnosed with the CROUP...gross and so pathetic. He just wants us to hold him and let him snuggle us for several days. However, we are quickly recovering and back to our old self.
2. Taft had an appt on Monday with his second ENT. We were informed he needs to tubes and his adenoids most likely need to be removed. I do not like the words "most likely"! Am I supposed to agree to surgery when "most likely" he needs it...not going to happen so we scheduled a scope to actually go in there and check it out so the "most likely" can either become "need" or "not"! So 3 hours later after both children have had multiple meltdowns in the hospital I have to hold my little man down while they put a camera up his nose. The airway is over 75% obstructed..so now we need not only tubes but adenoids out! So sad!
3. Deployments....we are afraid of this word and were told most likely Tyler would deploy this summer for 6 months, then a few days later gets word it is going to be for a year to Afghanistan leaving in less than 5 weeks. He spoke with his commander about separating from the military, she desperately wants his to stay in and believes he is a valuable assets, well yeah! So now we are going to find out soon which of the deployments is accurate, since the information still list Iraq. In the mean time Tyler has interviewed with a head hunter, written resumes and started the giant job search. Most likely we will no longer be an AF family in the next 6 months...scary and exciting!
4. We booked our first real FAMILY vacation to the beautiful Sedona for February! We have gone to CA for a wedding, and Texas twice for the holidays and engineering conference, but those do not count as a true VACATION! We booked an awesome little timeshare cabin that sleeps 8 in multiple bedrooms...AKA babies will not be smashed in our hotel room with us...AWESOME!!! Space is invaluable with those little monsters! The boys and the entire family are going to have a blast! 7 days of family fun...I can't wait!
5. We have a formal awards ceremony for Tyler's officer of the year award this weekend. So we are busting out the tuxedo and ball gown, but more importantly the babies will have their second ever real babysitter...woohoo and boo all at the same time!
6. Multiples group...for about a month now we have been part of a multiples group that meets for several hours each week. The facility is amazing with gymnastic toys, dress up stations, train tables, outdoor gyms, kitchens, etc. The boys adore playing and love circle time even more. Another set of "twins" are their exact age and they have developed great friendships with Taylor and Hunter, while I have developed a great friendship with Wally and Lupita, their grandparents who watch them while their parents work. What a blessing it has all been for our family!
